Stuck on what to wear?
It is SUPER important to think about clothing, when it comes to your session and photographs!
Do
Do
- Bring more than one outfit! (bringing more than one outfit can provide more variation between shots and enables us to mix and match clothing to suit the location)
- Try to coordinate colours (especially in family shoots) for example; wearing, blue, light blue, green colours. (complimentary colours)
- Accessorize - think outside the box (anything from: hats, scarves, jewelry, flowers, vests, jackets to headbands) - bring them along to mix and match with, they really can make a massive difference!
- Bring an outfit that displays your personality well!
- Any clothing with large logo/character deigns, visible brand names or any with over the top graphics (they can become distracting within photographs)
- Don't get everyone wearing the same colour/outfits (matching colours/ outfits can sometimes take away the vibrancy in images)
- Don't wear bright white shoes/socks (as they can stand out too much)
What should you bring?
Personal stand out items
- anything that helps display your personality. Items can include: an accessory piece (eg. jewelry or scarf), a meaningful object (eg.book, family memorabilia) or just something colourful.
Comfort items
- anything that will make the shoot more comfortable and fun for YOU. This could include anything from a toy (for kids), music to play on your phone to snacks/water (it is important to take snack breaks during shoots).
